15 Ways To SAVE At Starbucks!!!

Are you a caffeine junkie like me? Then you probably fall victim to the (more-than-occasional) Starbucks run. Although this tends to run a bit more (ok, a lot) than making your own coffee at home (***AHEM***), there are still tons of ways that you can still save while treating yourself to the occasional trip to see your favorite Barista.

  1. The ABSOLUTE biggest way for you to save is to sign up for their FREE rewards card. You will earn free food, drinks, coupons, exclusive offers, and more. They also have a great app that makes it super easy to use your account, as well as additional app exclusive offers. Make sure to become a member to stop missing out. Click HERE to sign up NOW, and even get a free drink just for joining the FREE club!!!
  2. Did you know that Starbucks offers Babyccinos? These are just extra foamy milk, sometimes topped with cinnamon. These are a great way to get drinks for the kiddos who “need” to have what the big kids are having, and at just $2 a piece, this savings can add up quickly.
  3. In addition to the Babycinnos, Starbucks also offers Puppyccinos. These are just whipped cream, but are a great free treat for your puppy. Our dog LOVESSSS these!
  4. Venti drinks are 20 ounces, and only slightly more expensive than the other sizes. Get a 20 ounce Venti and split it between two 10 ounce short cups to get two drinks for much less than purchasing them individually!
  5. Starbucks will give you $0.10 off your purchase if you bring in your own cup. It doesn’t have to be a Starbucks brand thermos either; you can even bring in a competitors cup, get the discount, and they will give you a new cup!
  6. You will get a FREE birthday drink just for signing up for their Rewards Club above, in addition to all of the other perks. I have noticed that they don’t send a reminder (or I always miss it), so keep an eye out during your birthday week.
  7. Again, another great offer with their Rewards Club (have you signed up yet?). Get FREE refills on any hot or iced brewed coffee or tea, even if your first drink was a frap/non-brewed item! Keep in mind that this freebie will end once you leave the store, so bring a book/laptop, and hang out at Starbucks for a while.
  8. Order a French Press (45oz size) and get drinks for a whole group for about half the price of everyone ordering their own drinks.
  9. Did you know that Starbucks uses triple filtered water? It is my favorite water to drink, and it is free! Save a couple of bucks by getting this instead of bottled water.
  10. Requesting light or no ice will just about double the size of your drink. Request the ice in a separate cup. This also makes it easier to add anything at the coffee bar too, without spilling.
  11. Order tea with no water. It will be double strength. That way you can split it into two drinks to water down, or you can just drink it extra strong.
  12. If you are going to add milk/cream to your drink, order the smaller size in a larger cup so that you have room and you won’t have to spill any coffee out. It is also more likely that they will over-pour too!
  13. Short size (8 ounce) is not on the menu, but it will have the same amount of caffeine as the tall. It is cheaper though, and has less calories than the tall espresso drinks, so it is a great way to get your fix for less!
  14. The best way to get an Iced Latte on the cheap: get a triple espresso shot on ice in a Venti cup, and then add cream at the coffee bar. You will save half on this one!
  15. Bring your own tea bag, and get a cup of hot water for just $0.25. You can also bring your own cup and get the water for free!!
